In its research and development for niche markets and particularly technically challenging sectors, STM has had the opportunity of exploring and working in fields where small or medium-scale quantities of material to be processed are the norm.
This macro sector includes our research and development in the following fields:

- Natural fibres
- Products undergoing testing or patenting
For us, life sciences are a real driving force for innovation; dealing with products from small enterprises and clients' R&D departments as well as new formulations and innovative grinding technologies.
Testing and knowledge of codified or patented products is extremely varied; STM's professionalism and integrity ensures that clients have extensive feedback on the properties of their micronized products, and supplies small batches of material ideal for further testing.
In many cases this is the first step in the process of identifying the correct milling equipment for the project's production phase.
The following table shows the materials tested by STM, indicating them in the first tab with a list, and then specifying in subsequent tabs the machines of STM suitable for working specific materials.
